DESKRIPSI

Pelatihan  ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan mengenai

INTRODUCTIONÂ

After  completion  this  training  participants  will  have  gained  a
theoretical  and applied understanding of power system protection. The
performance   of   instrument  transformers,  transducers,  protective
relays,  and  circuit  breakers  is first addressed. These devices are
then  integrated  into  coordinated protective systems for generators,
transformers,  transmission  lines,  reactors, capacitor banks, system
buses, etc.

Although  basic  protection  concepts  are  hardware-independent,  the
application  of electromagnetic, solid state, and microprocessor-based
relays   will  also  be  discussed.  Trade-offs  between  reliability,
selectivity,  speed,  simplicity,  and  economy  are  emphasized. This

DESCRIPTION

Electricity  is  accepted as a source of power without much thought to
the   hazards   encountered.  Some  employees  work  with  electricity
directly.  This  is  the case with engineers, electricians, electronic
technicians and power line workers. Others, such as office workers and
salespeople  work  with  it  indirectly.  OSHA’s  electrical standards
address  this serious workplace hazard which exposes employees to such
dangers  as  electric  shock, electrocution, fires and explosions. The
objective  of  the  standards  is to minimize the potential hazards by
specifying  design  characteristics  of  safety  in  use of electrical
equipment and systems

DESCRIPTION

Electric  Installation  in Hazardous Area  course gives participnts a
trough  understanding  of  selection,  installation and maintenance of
electrical   equipment  in  Hazardous  Areas.   It     covers  the
principles  of  Hazardous  Area  classification,  explosion protection
techniques,  equipment selection, equipment installation requirements,
inspections and procedures for breakdowns

the  nature  of the risk and the necessity to eliminate sources of
ignition
* Defines  The  relationship  between  area  classification  and the
various different types of Ex apparatus

1. Hazardous Area

(Hazard  Potency, Area Classification, Description of Zones, Apparatus
Groups and Temperature Classes )

(Regulations   concerning   electrical   installations   in  explosive
atmosphere,  Definitions, Potentially explosive atmosphere, electrical
apparatus in acetylene plants, IEC works)

3. Type of Protection

(General, opening apparatus, terminals, cable and conduct entries, Oil
immersed equipments, Pressurized apparatus, Flameproof enclosure)

4. Intrinsic safety

(General    specific    constructional    requirements,   Installation
requirements for intrinsically safe circuits, Tests)

5.  Planning,  installation  and  operation  of  electrical systems in
potentially explosive atmospheres

(Assessment   of   possible   explosion   risk,   Planning  electrical
installations  for  use in potentially explosive atmosphere, Selection
of apparatus, Measuring and control equipment, Lighting systems)

6.   Operation   of  electrical  equipment  in  potentially  explosive
atmosphere

(General,  Operations of electrical equipment, Instruction of persons,
